Former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007, is no more.
Dr Kalam (83) suffered a massive cardiac arrest while delivering a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management in Shillong at around 6.30 pm today. He was rushed to Bethany hospital but the doctors failed to revive him.
A few personalities from the film industry immediately put up their heartfelt condolences on Twitter:
